AZURA SOFT FURNISHING'S HISTORY

Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd began trading as a Sole Trader entity in 2002 and became a Private Limited Company in 2006. It established itself in a small disused hall of an old warehouse in Newton Heath, Manchester. In 2006, the firm was relocated to a larger 4000sqft, modern premises close to Oldham Town Centre. Over the years, Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd has had many successes and has now grown to occupy a site of approximately 50,000sqft.

Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd has no outstanding debts and is financially secure. It has an A1 credit rating.

Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd was first established by its founders in 2002 with limited funding and an entrepreneurial zeal to enter the textiles industry. This was recognised by the prestigious charity, the Prince’s Trust and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. With the start-up assistance from these esteemed organisations, Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd strived hard to successfully expand its growth 50-fold from 2002 to 2015.

Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd was granted the maximum award (interest free) by the Prince’s Trust after presenting an outstanding business plan. Furthermore, using its founders experience in engineering and business, Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd was awarded funding by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce for innovating existing technology to increase productivity and quality.

The firm was set up with an old textiles machine that was incapable of using synthetic fibres. With this investment, the machine was modified to increase output from 750 cushions per day to 2500.

This also meant the firm saved a required investment of £30,000. Today, Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd uses machines that are designed and commissioned directly by the Managing Director with existing design concepts but with the latest technology. The average production today is approximately 20,000 filled products with large amounts of untapped capacity.

Each year, Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd is growing from strength to strength and continues to invest in both internal and external R&D, to improve the products and services it provides. Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd is working with local and international partners and experienced home-grown brand developers to diversify its product range and establish unique brands.

Azura Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd is recognised as a highly rated ethically compliant manufacturer through external ethical audits and is successfully working with its customers to offer sustainable products to Britain’s soft furnishings market.
